Default Quillmane Rules?

Is there an official line on Quillmane camp rule, or is it just the wild west down there?

Apparently Sirken said on a stream that if you have a player watching at each of the three spawn points, and a 4th killing PHs, then you are effectively "camping Quillmane", and standard outdoor non-fixed spawn rules do not apply?

Anyone have a link to which stream and when he said that? And would that make it gospel?

I've heard of a petition going in favor of a solo player who essentially FTE'd a Quillmane while each spawn was being camped by a team in the manner described above.

Such a ball ache of a camp, seems like some guidance would probably avoid a lot of petition hassle.

Monday's stream he talked about it.

Don't be confused though... Q is a FTE mob, as is any mob that has random spawn points in outdoor zones. AC in Sro is another example.

What he was saying, is if you want to "lock it down" making it easier for your group to get FTE, bring 4 peeps at least... 1 killing phs, 1 at each of the 3 "random" spawn points.

You still have to FTE the mob... you just make it much easier.

That's the rules... generally speaking though players will be more expecting to have no competition if they are sitting at the spawn points.

No. If you're camping the spawn points, it's no longer a FTE mob. It's camped.

Well yes and no. If you (solo) are camping a particular spawn point, then yes, "that" spawn point is camped. It's impossible to camp all 4 spawn points solo, so camp rules do not apply, but FTE.

A group of 4, however can successfully "own" the Quillmane pop, as all 4 points can be camped, and FTE no longer applies.
- Hmmm kinda gives me a lucrative idea. Since many players charge 5-8k for the loot/MQ rights, I should get there early each day and have those leading the MQ/Loot Right parties pay me 2k to leave "my" camp spot. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

It's clearly stated by sirken...

Mob if FTE but a group of 4 can "lock that whole thing down because they know it's FTE".

Here's the specific "lawyer quest" part of it based upon the rules, and why it's ONLY FTE even if you have someone at each camp.

A "group" can only claim a single spawn point. If you take 4 people and spread them out, that's NOT a single spawn point. Thus... you officially can't "camp" the "area" as clearly stated by staff in the video.

What you can do is increase your chances on getting FTE by having people placed strategically at the known random spawn points.

FTE... even if your sitting at spawn when it's random locations.

It takes 4 to camp Quillmane. 1 for each QM spawn point and a fourth to kill the PH roamers. The PHs do not share Quillmane's spawn points.

Yeah i know that, but I said there is 3 spawn points, not 4. And you can just pull a bunch of PH to a spawn point before killing them all if you don't have a a 4th person.

And that's the simplest break down of why it's an FTE mob... If the PH and Named are not at the same spawn point, then it can't be claimed as a camp.

Officially...

I'm not talking about generally "don't be a dick" rules. But that appears to differ depending on how much $ the drop is worth.
