Definitely more than 150. My arrows go farther than that.

Gotta be something like 500 or more, based on what I've observed. I can target mobs waaaaaay off in the distance, near the limit of LoS.

I don't mean click target, I mean /target Lecompte target... Seems like it is pretty close

Yes; or it was adjusted and is now considerably closer.

I always thought it was the same distance as targetting a corpse, but while corpse is still at a respectable distance, targetting a mob/player is not.

I never understood how people measured the distance in game.

150, 200? Yards, Meters, Gnomes, Erudites? What?

I always just gave the guesstimate about the distance of casting a spell. Most spell detail I found was documented in Lucy but that still did not tell me the real value. For me it has always been a kind of guess.

Thankfully those guesses rarely bit me.

Another example and please don't let this derail but the "stone" for monks. If there is a simple answer to that too, let it be "1 post and 1 post only please".

Thanks Orruar. Going to experiment tonight with rooting a guard and /target from different distances then use my bow on it with different arrow types making the range shorter.

Yeah, my bad. Totally misinterpreted your question.
