I disagree. I play P99 on my laptop (wireless N) all the time and have NO issues at all. Bard kiting? No problem.....

BTW, where is the 'Both' selection in this poll? Must be hidden...... [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Wired trumps wireless is the point, and it is most likely the OPs issue.

Not to mention the numerous security issues with wireless. I could sit outside your house and spoof your SSID, spam deauth to all clients on your WLAN and you wouldn't be able to even use the internet [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Installing this will do them no good if they don't understand how to analyze the traffic.

I had the exact same problem as yourself a .1 or .2 second spike which would cause me to about face and be utterly decimated by the following horde. I tried all of your above options: win eq, video settings, wire/wireless, etc...The only solution came about when I completely reformatted my machine, not because of EQ but new SSD card and wanted to start fresh, and upon reloading video drivers, not the recommended but catalyst control center, EQ magically worked and flawlessly too. Perhaps you have the same problem; I have a fairly new card so it boggled me to no end but I am not one to question. Perhaps this might help you as it has revitalized EQ for me. Best of luck.

My issue was resolved with the ethernet cable. I've not died in 5 levels in OT thanks to the physical connection.

Default Good resource

I have chronic lag spikes, and the doctor can't suggest anything for me, so I did some research and found this place. It's not a cult or a scam!

https://forums.daybreakgames.com/eq/...ion-guide.956/

It's so far a good resource for messing with your settings to reduce lag. (It took me a while to figure out, but the "Everquest/Station Launchpad" mentioned is the first screen you get when opening EQ, with the options to login or do other things.) Obviously some stuff doesn't apply to P99, but most does. Sadly, the option to adjust frame rates is not available.
