Default Chalice of Conquest

Or more importantly... "the quest that requires the existence of the ABANDONED ORC SHOVEL" [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Was wondering if this quest (okay, the shovel spawn) had been implemented on this server. Reading through the quest infos, none of it takes place in Kunark so I would assume it existed in classic, but the earliest comment on it I can find is after Kunark release, so I'm not sure... can anyone else find proof that the shovel (er, I mean... the quest, yeah) was in before Kunark?

Quest Info (earliest comments date back to July 2000):

Unrelated Picture of Jessica Alba, probably wishing the abandoned orc shovel was in-game:

Allakhazam didn't exist before May of 2000 so you wont find any comments from earlier. There's the quest listed on everlore, with 1999 time stamps.

Now, if only there was a quest description that summed up the key points without trying to navigate a wall of text.

hint hint

If someone has an active necromancer on live, with the flesh to bone AA, on any server, I need lots of bone chips to test part of this quest.

Well, I went ahead and did this myself on live. Ally faction and he still tells me:
'The Clerics of Underfoot have yet to see your faith directed towards our wills. Perhaps you should assist Master Gunlok Jure in the crusade against the undead.'

Any ideas?

Does this have anything to do with it?

Ok here is the scoop. I have looked into it long and hard and this is what I found. Yes he belongs to the "Paladins of Underfoot" this is correct. Now the problem is there are no quests that increase the faction. When you do the bone chip quest for the cleric/paladin guild you raise "Clerics of Underfoot" faction. Turns out couple game expansions ago the faction "Paladins of Underfoot" was removed somehow, I have had a GM check this and it was confirmed. You can no longer gain faction to get Dru to like you. BUT starting as a dwarven paladin, you start with aimable factions with "Paladins of Underfoot" therefore a dwarven paladin is the only one at this time that can undertake the quest. I have e-mailed the EQ peoples to fix it but of course that doesnt happen. So will keep you updated if anything changes.

Forget the quest...put the shovel in game.

That isn't to say I don't understand all the work this is but. Believe it or not, that shovel be came a rite of passage for Rangers everywhere years and years ago.
