Default Why do I sync when I alt tab while swimming?

The FPS goes super low and I immediately start sinking. It doesn't seem to affect my run speed.

I thought I remembered a setting for Background FPS that helped on live. Any tips?

It's a problem with the client. Use WinEQ2 (GM sanctioned 3rd party program) to fix the sinking issue.
