Yeah id say it needs another 2 seconds added for starters. I've been helping LIME lobby way more important changes which is the caster bumps.

Getting a lot of tuning done for season 2 which I'm surprised about so far. I think a Windstriker ranger definitely far outperformed a monk but it was so late in the season I don't have any real evidence to support that.

I just know ranger became extremely popular and stayed popular even weeks later. Nobody quit their ranger.
Ranger has always been a fun class, I don't really recall seeing too many effective rangers due to poor itemization. Same with monks, having mandatory pvp items tied to casino, everyone gravitated to SK's as they had the best pvp toolkit for a kill based leaderboard.

Priests definitely need buffs, having a druid or shaman on your team that isn't boxed is basically playing with a handicap instead of having another SK, Mage, Wiz, Rog, etc.

Azzar was talking about when there was only 4 other people on the server other then himself. Rangers were very good then.

not that it matters but LIME was in and out the fastest of anyone. There was about 50 people left I'd say, 20-25 unique people during off time not much different than ded99 in the timeframe I stuck around to from launch till "the end". Jib being given the tstaff with 4 people was more of a symbolic ritual. Like the Bohemian Grove of big deal somebody pvpers performing a blood magic together.

bow kiting was viable if you knew what you were doing with just Underfoot. even a piece of shit could probably beat anyone 1v1 you just have to keep the opponent interested in the fight and make sure he doesn't get whooped too hard and runs to a zoneline.

Konstance (another rallos zek 99 somebody triple OG) was pretty good about baiting fights and keeping his opponent in the fight while doing bow work.

I believe that skill is much more important than class, as a skilled player can make any class work. A top player will play any class well, but also you aren't going to pick a class that limits your targets.

That being said I felt ranger had overly weak melee damage (2x instead of 4x dmg 2hander, epic 1h's being mediocre for pvp), utility that was readily available through items, sow/levitate/damage shield, low hp values, no oh shit abilities. Not saying a good player can't put superior track and slightly higher bow dps to work, but to me the tradeoff wasn't worth it. Being most classic zones are small the potential for long bow kites is not as high as in kunark or velious.

Fair assessment of rangers, there was a guy who played ranger from Day 1 and did alright. Most of the bow kites were going in Misty (during the Vale ticket boom) and then East Commons during the GM event status of the zone.

There was also South Karana pvp at whip camp. Whip was actually a pvp boon because it gave you another interesting venue to check for pvp. Assuming the shitter didn't just run into paw and plug.

But Zek was pretty good about people coming to fight. Plugs were uncommon. Most of R99 was playing under fake/stolen names I remember us thinking that was cute. It decreased the plug factor so I fully support you guys all rerolling under fresh names again and denying who you are and pretending to be other people.

Give it a rest Syft, you were exposed as a spaz and making excuses about holding symbolic rituals on a 17 year old emulated server with 4 other nerds doesn't make it any better.
