Default Haste Question

Does weapon haste stack with any other item worn haste? Or just the higher worn haste including a weapon??

Haste only stacks with a different type of haste:
Worn
Spell effect
Proc

What is proc haste?

I thought the only other haste that will stack with both items and spells is that bard song.

Basically yeah. He probably meant v2 haste from the Ervaj line of spells.

From the Haste Guide on the Wiki:
1. Permanent item haste: haste effect listed on an item you wear.
2. Spell/song/clickie haste: haste effects gained from nearly all spells, bard songs, or click-able items.
3. v2 haste: Ervaj line of bard songs grant v2 haste. This is not "overhaste" and will not allow you to exceed the haste cap.

Note that the bard epic is not v2 haste; the bard epic gives spell haste and does not stack with other spell haste. You can have both at the same time, but only the higher haste applies. The bard epic still gives 30 ATK and 30 str in addition to its 55% haste.

(In Luclin, they added Overhaste aka v3 haste which let you go over the haste cap of 100%.)

Actually i was talking about procing weapons/items like executioner's axe. that later bard line might count as proc haste, I'm not sure. But those were the 3 hastes back in classic EQ.

For classic it’s
1. Spell/song/self procs
2. Worn

Hastes in the same category don’t stack, highest is applied.

Level haste caps not accounted (scaling to 94% max until level 60 when it’s 100%):
Worn item
Spell v1 (sham spell, ench spell, bard song like Verses of Celerity)
Spell v2 (bard song, cant overhaste beyond cap.

The only time procs can benefit you is with an epic or siren song bard (v1 55% or v1 60% proc) and of V2 is being twisted. A bard twisting two haste songs can only do 55%; the weapon procs permit 65% or 70% total plus stats). Or of course a bard plus a Shaman (v2 song 10% and Celerity 50%). Etc. I guess with chanter WR (70%) and bard V2 you could hit 80% and a lvl 60 with a FBSS could cap haste.

In short if you are a melee class aim for 30% haste as a minimum. More wont crack 100% but you won’t always have Wonderous Rapidity in your pocket.

Correct but I’m sure it’s great equity towards a TBB.
