Any way to turn the weather off?

Helps to leave sound effects on to hear things around corners and possibly creeping up on you

But getting so sick of that booming thunder every 5 seconds while it rains for 2 straight RL hours in game. Any way to deal with this that won't get me banned for modifying the client?

In vanilla WoW we used to be able to swap sound files on things like the gun sound effects to something less annoying without getting in trouble. Is that not possible on P99?

What is wake of karana? I actually like the sound effects so not looking to completely shut off sound

wake of karana is a high-level druid spell that allows you to stop the weather in zone but

at a cost of an opal
