Curing Slow?

Can slows such as "Togor's Insects" be removed with "abolish disease"? I seem to remember on live pretty early on slows were curable by remove disease. Is this the case here?

If not cure disease, are we still in the era of cancel magic removing slow?

Yes, but dispels happen in a pseudo-random order, generally dispelling 1-4 from your top 4 buffs each dispel.

We are in, and will always be in, the cancel magic era*. You might find this thread helpful. It contains all the research which led to slows not being curable.

* unless something changes in custom content (someday far into the future)

With taper you can control which gets dispelled with some finesse but since that requires an ench on deck at all times is more raid strat than grouping/solo I guess.
