there is some truth to that, candidates always talk about stuff they are going to do but at the end of the day they cant really do anything by themselves.

You know one thing they can do and no one can stop them? Make up new nations right on the spot! Like for example you go to Trump and say 'hi I'm the ambassador for Marioland', and Trump is like 'ok you've been received good luck' and boom there you are and Marioland officially exists. I mean you still have to raise armed forces and issue currency yourself, but this the genius part. You say 'hey can I buy some armed forces from you Mr. Trump' and he's like 'sure, here's some old F-16s' and you're like 'yeah here's some new money I just printed'. And then you use your F-16s to like bomb Libya or Norway and take their oil wells and then you get actual dollars from the oil. Now you're in business! Of course you hand 40% to Trump as agreed.
