Rescue me from Everfrost?
Would a druid or wizard please port me out of Everfrost? I want to play a Barbarian but the newbie area in Everfrost is ridiculous. I don't mind a challenge or grinding out levels, but there are very few mobs I can actually kill in this zone. I don't have any money, but I will be eternally grateful! Butcherblock or Greater Faydark would be great. My character is Mckayla.

What class are you? If youre a shaman, Faydwer will be a tough place for you.
I thought most people actually really like Everfrost for starting zones too... (along with blabkburrow next door)

Everfrost is one of the greatest newbie zones both in terms of xp and cash. What level are you?

I'm a warrior. I love the look of Everfrost. I just don't like dying so much. I guess maybe I just don't know what I'm doing. I'll probably go back to being an elf on a server filled with elves.

Warrior as a fresh noob is going to be a long haul grind.
You need one of the following: - a lot of patience - a friend to help you with items and/or levels for a bit Its basically kill 1 mob, sit and med up to full, kill 1 mob, repeat. Stick to blue con mobs. Whites are too hard. By sticking with warrior, you will be rewarded in the late game...but it is going to take a long time to get there without some outside help. My advice? Make a druid, level to 44 by doing a mix of solo and using P99's XP superhighway (crushbone, unrest, guk, mistmoore, HHK, Sol A, city of mist). Get your CS tooth + your porting spells and port people for money to fund your warrior. While it may take longer upfront, leveling your warrior with a full set of gear will be far more enjoyable. Imagine having 2x https://wiki.project1999.com/Wakizas...e_Frozen_Skies for procs to hold aggro at level 20, 2x 55hp rings, silver chitin hand wraps (haste item, very important), etc as you blaze through the early levels just cutting everything down. Food for thought.

Thank you for the advice. I was inspired to play a warrior from watching YouTube videos of a Barbarian Warrior named Thoom. He made it look easy. It's not. However, Greame ported me to Butcherblock and Orico gave me a bind once I arrived in Greater Faydark. Thanks again to those individuals. Now it's time to put in the lifetime of grinding to 60. I love this community so it may be a hard journey but at least there are good people to keep me company along the way.

Welcome to p99! As a warrior, you'll eventually be almost "forced" to group so as to avoid long breaks in-between fights. This can be a good thing as p99 is the most fun when played with friends and comrades.
Your situation is no different than my cleric-- while's he's awful at mashing stuff with his mace, he shines when paired up with a melee class (like a warrior). Certain classes are simply stronger in groups vs solo. Another example of this would be a rogue-- a rogue can put out insane DPS... as long as they're grouped with someone that can maintain agro and keep the mob's back turned (to the rogue). So, please don't be discouraged and give your warrior some time. Have fun and enjoy the journey!
