In all fairness, that was the same situation with the Kavanaugh hearing. A lady shows up 30 some years later and accuses you of rape, with no police report, witnesses, or anything to back it up, and she's not even sure of the address, date, or time of when it happened? 'Credible evidence' is now present, and you get to defend yourself on TV.
