Fission requires all kinds of ridiculous plumbing and infrastructure to prevent its core from melting down. and these next gen fusion reactors are producing enough energy to power themselves and a public electrical grid. they crossed the holy grail of creating more energy than they received. I bet in your mind you are imagining the Tokamaks which have been around forever, they are the gigantic inefficient super radioactive deuterium-tritium reactors. which barely ever produced more energy than they drew. These were necessary for the invaluable research they enabled, we learned and built better vastly more efficient reactors. energy from fusion still requires transmission and local storage at your home or vehicle, this aligns with the need that "they" have to control your lives. zero point energy tech would enable every single device to power itself, if you can't control the use of energy then you have to go back to controlling the availability of food, and that invariable ends up messy.

definitely don't need to get my physics education and stay up to date on the current science from P99 forums of all places lol this is math we aren't having a political or philosophical debate there are clear right and wrong answers here because math

The deuterium-tritium fuels are used in Tokamak reactors, which are the old-school experimental platforms https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tokamak https://www.rechargenews.com/energy-...gh/2-1-1411318 this one is called a stellarator where they were very successful with H2-Boron fuel https://asia.nikkei.com/Business/Tec...-by-midcentury this one will run on basically seawater and salt. You'd think an engineer would be able to discern that nonsense but the days have gone down in the West.
