Game Mechanics: Hide/Sneak BROKEN

This bug got me killed a dussin times already. Basicly it shows you're hide/sneak, but all the mobs see you anyways. It happends randomly, but common enough to be a menace. As you can see, both NPCs scowls at me, even tho hide/sneak is active.

I already tested re-sneaking/invising and made sure the NPCs on the screencap does NOT see invis. Spoken with other rogues too that experienced the same thing.

have you tried it with not pressing hide and sneak so close together? maybe sneak is interferring with the hide since you activated it before the hide completed.

I playtested with pause between sneak and hide and the bug is still there [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] just gotta /con every mob until bug gets fixed [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

What is your Hide/Sneak skill? What level is your character?

I also noticed that you have a "STEALTH" macro key (instead of an actual Hide & Sneak). Have you tried to stand still and press just Hide?

Actually rogue hide shouldn't be the end all/be all to the dungeon crawling world. It gave nothing special over regular invis for the longest time, don't think it even gave any invisibility to undead at all. Not 100% on the undead part, but I had a rogue for a time and he wasn't able to just hide/sneak past every mob.

That said, this looks wrong for this server.

You sure this isn't an issue that's covered elsewhere in these forums already? There are a few issues with hide/sneak dropping without appearing when you click on PC corpses or do things with trade windows or looting.

If this is only happening in Sebilis, then it is probably working as designed. My guess would be that the patrolling entrance frog is a caster, and it is giving all the melee mobs a See Invisible buff. See also: Mobs overbuffing other mobs

random caster mobs in sebilis see through invis, and i do not think any mobs in the game cast see invis
