Also slight derail but I always really liked the music that plays while browsing a vendor in classic EQ. It's the most nerdtastic dose of nostalgia for me, always reminds me of the very early game when nobody had any clue where to go or what to do and it was all about exploring and learning things. Now it's so hard to resist the urge to just fire up the wiki and beep-boop through a quest without reading any of the dialogue.
EQ vendor music is a fuckin IV drip of nostalgia I don't think anything comes close besides the initial loading screen music when those fuckin trumpets start bumpin.

Brass, percussion, and harps are all you need.

For some reason I thought it was 100>1 too, and did for years -- even after starting in P99 I didn't really pay close enough attention to realize it was 10>1 for a long while. My brain says I thought it was 100>1 back in the old days too, but who knows

I always wondered if cracked staff was supppsed to be a tradeskill item, because it's high resale price is very close to its purchase price (like gems, for example).

I'm 53 and I still kill decaying skeletons with a staff. #ALSlife

Always ten to 1

Eq music is the bomb. I fletched long days when you couldn’t auto select 1 arrow component from a stack by holding a key or any of the late client short cuts. Lots of vendor music and nice spots in kelethin watching the text box scroll by.

It’s just a great combo of 3d and text based. Eq rocks
