Modem/Router Combo and Login Issues...
This isn't a request for help so much as it is an observation from dealing with this issue since acquiring my new modem/router combo.
I have narrowed the issue down to this. If the game crashes when attempting to log on with a character, the modem will then reject any further login attempts and won't even allow connection to the server from either the EQEmu server select screen or a direct login attempt to the P99 server until the modem is restarted. I don't have a solution for this, but am hoping that some of the more tech-savvy members of the community might be able to use this information to find a fix.

Talking to someone more informed than I, he suggested Command Window ipconfig /flushdns as a possible work-around instead of restarting the modem every time, but I haven't been able to get the client to crash yet.
Never when you want it to.

You are not supplying much information to go on here.
What are the contents of your "eqhost.txt" file? What dns service are you using and what dns caching software are you using on your network, if any? IIRC I am using opendns for my dns lookups and using bind for local dns caching. Never had any problems here, multiple people playing P99.
