Default Most Survivable Class

Hi Red:

I will be joining the ranks of p1999 soon and am most interested in rolling a cleric. That will be my main on blue, but I wish to also have a toon on red for when blje is overcamped or overcrowded. I dont want a cleric on red because I feel like I will be ganked all the time. What might be a few of the more survivable pvp classes that resist being ganked a little better, or can at least defend themselves if they cant gtfo.

Thanks!

It's literally impossible to die as a Druid or Paladin unless you are functionally retarded.

sorry, this is for higher lvl when you have ports as a wizard.

it stands for TransLocate Bind, the "box" is the thing you click to accept the translocate but in its current state it stays up for 5? minutes and can be clicked at any time to escape, at say, 1% hp

If you stick to mainly outdoor zones you should never die on a bard. Also groups need healers quite often so you're able to lend a hand even if there isn't one around.

paladin

the good:

you can heal as well as a shaman/druid.

you have heal over times, such as celestial cleansing, which work quite well.

loh.

soulfire charges.

combine the above and you are functionally immortal in most situations.

the bad:

no mobility / you can't invis

do the least dps out of any class in the game

no race combo with slam, so you need to shield swap or swap your epic in

all of your stuns/roots/blinds are rendered useless by any level of resist gear.

if you're trying to kill someone 1 on 1 and they don't want to be killed by you they can literally just walk away and there is little you can do about it.

I'd recommend against a melee class as your first character, unless you're getting a large pixel signing bonus with a guild. A melee with mediocre gear will get wrecked in pvp since the server is so top-heavy.

Instead, try a class that will fare well in pvp with basic gear e.g. druid or wizard. You'll still get wrecked by lvl 20 players wearing BiS ToV gear, but you'll get in occasional kills yourself. Seeing your own yt's will be more encouraging and fun early on.
