Default What Were The Biggest Nerfs in EQ History?

What were some of the biggest nerfs in EQ history? Any classes hit especially hard? Trying to research for a fun video. Any help is appreciated. I will try to give credit to those who help.

p99 history or eq history?

Necro (maybe mage too but idk cant remember, only played necro on live) pets back on live classic were absolute fucking monsters if you handed them 2 fine steel daggers it lowered their delay but not their damage so they would quad insanely fast for big dmg.

despite the epic pet nerf they are still pretty overpowered, wouldn't call that one of the biggest nerfs

As far as p99 history goes the charm nerf has to be one of if not the biggest. On p99 during the first 6 months or so after launch charm had a set duration. Enchanters and necros were literally solo farming multiple camps with ease with timers set for their charm breaks. It was not uncommon to zone into lguk do a cc and see a solo chanter or necro claiming frenzy, am, and lord as one camp and holding down with ease at lvl 50 in scraps for gear corpsing their lore drops and continuing to hold the camp for hours sometimes days at time when fbss was sellin for 15-20k a pop, SSoY - 10-15k a pop, SMR - 10k etc (I am guilty of this). I made something like 100k in ~24 hours at one point which was a ridiculous amount at that particular time.

Another one of the biggest nerfs in p99 history was the tumpy tonic quest, it wasnt too crazy but it was still pretty effective way to get exp at high lvl on a char that couldnt solo, if memory serves some high lvls were using it to finish off the upper 40's to get to 50 lvl cap at the time without having to fight a single mob. It was kinda like how splitpaw scrolls are now but imagine they are buyable off a vendor for dirt cheap, arent lore, and you could fill your inventory up and just go spam turn ins till you leveled up.

Kithicor Forest getting filled with high level undead at night for hate release and pathing brownie scouts added to Lesser Fay around Temple of Sol Ro era killed those zones for low levels.

Charm being removed from necromancer and shaman early on.

AC revamp SoL/PoP era hit a lot of high ac monk builds badly.

Melee damage revamp changed all melee damage to max hit of 2dmg+damage bonus so melee no longer did such awesome max hits.

Yeah, you should clarify whether you mean EQ history or P99 history.

EQ history: removing manastone, COS, Holgresh Elder Beads, and other Legacy items; idk what else

P99 history: clicky nerfs (increased recharge cost, added cast times), magi p'tasa respawn reduced, fucking with gamma to achieve night blindness at the cost of blinding light when there are many players, and what this guy said.
