Spending doesn't automatically cheapen the dollar, it depends on what you're spending on. Spending on things that actually incentivize innovation and investment domestically ultimately strengthen the economy. And trump's spending was what, over one day? Of course these things are projected over multiple years. That still doesn't answer why some spending is better than other spending. The only short-term metrics we have to go by are things like jobs added, average salary, inflation-adjusted cost, amount of flexible money for the middle class. All of these metrics were better under trump.

And they were also worse under both obama and now biden, so the "when my guy is in office and he sucks it's only because the previous administration sucked" argument doesn't hold water.

The February-March 2020 crash says otherwise. To the tune of Trillions of dollars. Trump like other republican presidents before him lead to a recession. At one point the DOW was actually lower then Obama left it too Trump.
