New (returning after 10 years) player questions
so i recently re-downloaded titanium to play some good o'l classic EQ
my goal is the grind, i love the journey of lvl'ing and the social dynamic of grouping. BUT!- i started a toon on Blue, looks like that might have been a mistake for what I'm looking for. do you guys recommend green for PUG groups? is green better than blue for PUGs?

Blue if you want cheap prices for good gear, green if you want classic realism.

but what about PUG group frequency?
i want to roll up to Crushbone/Unrest/HHK/Mistmoore and find a group or wait in line for one. green for that?

Both are top heavy but my thinking is Green has more noobs/alts playing at one time.

that was my thought as well.
dammit, just got my paladin to 9 last night lol. Anyone got a ghoulbane they wana give to a noobarino lol? or any gear? back 8-10 years ago, you'd find high lvl dudes emptying their bank in EC to make room, that kinda stuff still happen ( i participated in the "raffle" a couple times, crystal caverns gear, guk gear, lower stuff ya know?)

Getting groups in crushbone and unrest will happen much more on green. Highkeep you can maybe find some groups on blue, but as a paladin you could just solo in unrest til 40 probably then start getting more PuG's on blue after 40.
What you won't get on green is people handing you ghoulbanes or other decent gear for free or cheap. I generally say go green if PuGs at every level is your thing, but you are kinda asking for a little of both here. Also worth considering that even in the lowbie hot zones on blue you'll find some people to duo or small group with too, just that full six man group PuG experiences will be infrequent and inconsistent compared to green. And if you are definitely going paladin there's a 40% class xp penalty on green until early Velious.

Green for sure...tons of folks are still leveling to 50/60 or starting off their first alt on the same journey. Definitely more than on Blue.
You'll also find far fewer twinks with far less powerful gear, which might make the grp game much exciting (but harder and slower too). A great twink on green has an fbss...a great twink on blue has full skyshrine clickies at lvl 1. Plus, you won't be far behind if you plan to move into the raid game...you can catch up with us on green far easier than on blue. heck, you can still buy manastones on green for reasonable prices.

im just trying to get that old classic camp feel with a buncha randos.
you know, the one guy who is really good a healing but the bard is derpy so we have problems with CC but still manage. or the group with heavy melee dps but not burst, etc. good times lol.
