Default Damage table questions??

So i wanted to be a paladin, and i was curious how my damage was compared to other classes.

Same starting stats, same starting weapon, same STR Default human boring model got to level 5 slashing monsters and i recorded all dmg

i made a warrior and he did considerably more damage per slash

then i made a druid, and he also did more then the paladin did, are these numbers right? Am i stupid??

It depends on weapon and strength and the damage caps. Well, and strength and weapon skill and offense.

If you made a paladin expecting to deal damage, you're in for a rude awakening.

There's a narrow window where a Paladin with a Ghoulbane can do some sweet damage, but outside of that it's always going to be well behind a "real" dps.

i just wanted a sturdy char and was curious if a default human with X Str did the same damage regardless if he was a paladin, sk , war , or druid

apparently they all do different dmg, SK Does more then pal from what im seeing.Test for yourselfs maybe im insane???

Paladins (and some others, SK included) are on a weak damage table until well into Velious. We only got the improved damage table for them last fall on "Blue."

The damage table thing is a complicated subject, lots of details. But yeah, Pallies don't have good DPS.
