Peacebringer is a slightly cheaper alternative to IFS.

Pb might be cheaper but the extra weight can be killer. IFS is worth the price and totally worth keeping around after you get your epic to bust out when you're fighting something with a DS.

Outside of NToV weapons, I’m firmly of the opinion Monks should be using Wu’s Quivering Staff<IFS/Peacebringer<TStaff.
Wu’s will take you to 50 without issue then you should start looking to upgrade. The only other possible option in there would be epic/blamstick mainhand and stave of shielding/scepter of mastery offhand but assuming you quest your epic they still end up either costing about the same as an IFS anyways for worse DPS.

PB is great and basically a T staff without proc for 1/20 the price.

Weight doesnt matter till 50's when you would start DW anyways.

(Assuming you have haste, which if you dont, is priority)

Unfortunately inflation/triple atk on the server has pushed IFS up to 6k+, so anyone reading this now should be careful.

I don’t know that the common wisdom regarding 1hs post 50 is applicable after the 2hd changes. It’s my understanding that 2hd now has a larger dmg bonus than 1hd do ratios being equal 2h should do more dmg, especially against high ac/level targets. That combined with riposte means 2hd should be significantly better than 1hd at pretty much all levels (excluding ntov and maybe sky fists) given the availability of IFS/peacebringers and Wu’s staffs at lower lvls.

You’ll still want quicker weapons for push of course
