Default "a mummy" (LFay) unhittable?

Hello,

I'm a level 12 paladin with maxed Offense and One Hand Slashing skill. I normally can solo blues. However, the blue "a mummy" found in LFay at the center of the undead shrine (approx +0, +2300) was unhittable for me. I stood toe-to-toe with this mob and missed every single swing and bash. I am not exaggerating. I could not hit this mob even once for a single damage point.

I fought it twice. The first time I used LoH near low health, so maybe count that as 3 fights. The second time I feared it when I was 20% and ran to MM zoneline. I'd estimate about 80-150 attempts (swings and bashes) and 0 hits.

Something's gotta be going on here.

Were you wielding a non-magic weapon? Because mummies are invulnerable to non magic melee attacks.

Thanks. The weapon was non-magic. I have hits mode on (abbreviated) but it said "missed". Is that normal? Should it say "INVULNERABLE" ?

I believe all 0-damage swings are abbreviated to MISS, including parry, dodge, invulnerable, and just plan old whiff.
