Default Can't launch eqgame.exe

I have performed the steps in "Technical Discussion FAQ - Read before posting"

I tried running eqgame.exe and it flashes to a black screen, then minimizes the application. Trying to maximize it only causes the screen to flash black again.

Any idea what to try next?

It's probably saying it can't find eqgame.exe - edit your shortcut's "start in" field to point to your p99 location. Make sure you're not installed under program files to save yourself future headaches.

I made sure it was pointed at the location (F:\EQLite\eqgame.exe). I get the error message: Please run EverQuest.exe

You're running the "launch titanium.bat" file?

I've tried both eqgame.exe and Launch Titanium.bat

When I try to run the Launch Titanium.bat file I get an error that says "Windows cannot find 'eqgame'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again."

If I try to make a shortcut on my desktop to the Launch Titanium.bat file it flashes to a black screen, then minimizes the application. Trying to maximize it only causes the screen to flash black again.

what if you open a command prompt (start / run / cmd.exe)
change the directory to your EQ directory

f:
cd \EQlite

and launch everquest "eqgame.exe patchme"

for example my EQ directory is in E:\sony\sony\everquest and these would be the steps for me:

C:\Windows\System32>e:

E:\>cd "Sony\Sony\EverQuest"

E:\Sony\Sony\EverQuest>eqgame.exe patchme

E:\Sony\Sony\EverQuest>

Ashintar: I'm not really sure what is being asked here. I guess I need more thorough steps.

My shortcut's Target is F:\EQLite\eqgame.exe
I did confirm that is the path.

The Start in is F:\EQlite

I also ensured it is in Compatibility mode for XP(SP2).

Issue has been resolved.

I could have sworn I added patchme to the end of the Target but when I checked again, it was not there. I added it - make the Target look like this: F:\EQLite\eqgame.exe patchme - and it works.
