Frequent packet-loss & occasional disconnect
Hello, my problem started for me Saturday.. almost every minute or two, my packets percentage drops down to anywhere from 80-90%, and then goes back to normal. Every once in a while it will result in a disconnection. Called cable company and they basically told me that everything looked fine on their end.. lol. I ran a 'tracert' on the blue server I play on and got these results.. if it helps any:

Trace complete. I DO have a VPN (PrivateInternetAccess) installed.. but this problem is occuring when connected without it. For giggles, I have even enabled the VPN and tried about 7 or 8 different connection locations all over the USA, and ran tracerts.. all have request time outs, but some appear to get further than others. Sorry for the large read, but any help is appreciated, thank you!

A lot of servers reject ping requests now. It's more secure to hide and pretend no one is home, or that there is no home >.>
Teh enternuts iz at war. Yes, dirty con the past week. Maybe stock market trading bots? Make sure you store food/water <.<

While DayWolf is right about ping requests being ignored, there's also that fact that "ping" uses ICMP packets, while games use TCP/UDP packets.
Properly configured gateways are going to probably ignore ICMP, but even if they don't, QoS will have ICMP packets at a lower priority.
