Default Massively incorrect kick/bash rates

My logs 100% from charm pet+mob combat:

4119 kicks
9449 bashes

That's about a 30% kick rate, which seems incredibly lopsided and contrary to other evidence as to what it should be.

Where did the current kick/bash rates come from?

http://web.archive.org/web/200112240...c&f=6&t=004872

Contemporary classic log shows:

33 kicks
24 bashes

42% bash rate

Does anyone have any other classic logs? I'd like to get a sample size over 57 , heh. Alternatively, any idea why a charm/mob combat would show such a disproportionate favoring of bash?

a bigger question is - why is that mist panther never hitting for anything close to his max damage? he absolutely shreds on p99.

Doh. That panther is a freaking monk. Messes up everything.

Can only look at pet bash/kick, which is fairly close to ratio I got on green. That said it cuts a smallish sample size in half and only looks at pet attacks, which could be different than mob attacks.

Still curious if the are accurate though. Anyone know of any old/classic combat logs?

No I don't think so. They're his personal logs from years ago. You can PM him and he'll probably help you.

The devs have copies of what I've been able to locate.

DMN - what exactly are you looking for? kicks/bashes from pets or charmed pets? Most of my logs are from a cleric or wizard's perspective but I'll gladly give them a perusal to see if I've got anything helpful.

My interests are boundless. I would like to take your logs and purge them of any social interactions and host them somewhere for anyone's perusal.

So to give some recent examples

The kick/bash rate on the sever
The stun rate of bash
Various aspect of being stunned from regular attacks.

The truth is when I'm playing I commonly across things that don't seem quite right to me but have limited ability to confirm my suspicions. The latest and biggest one being this stun from behind mechanic. As someone who was the primary puller for the only raiding guild on the server in classic for close to a year and countless hours pulling on my SK, there is no way I would not recall the potentiality of a single mob stun locking me for 10+ seconds. Shouldn't be too hard to find some multiple stuns from the back in decent sized log file -- if they ever existed.

WoW got their idea to daze fleeing players from this, I'm sure they've removed that from retail by now given their "community".

I vivdly remember watching dark elves in Nektulos trying to flee from fire beetles, more adding then one catching them from the side and the rest stunlocking them pretty hard.
