Can't complete my account registration - please help

Hi all,

I'm trying to work my way through the setup guide (http://www.project1999.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2651) and I just need to create a P99 account to log in, but the registration form won't let me finish.

I get to Step 2 - Account Links and skip it b/c I don't have that forum account

then I get to Step 3 - Account Security and verified my phone number.

when I try to continue from there, it kicks me back to Step 2. When I skip Step 2, it puts me back to Step 3 to verify my phone number... when I enter my number again, it says my number is already verified, but won't let me continue.

I even created an EQEmulator account and linked it with the hope that it'll let me continue. It's linked, but it won't. Same situation as with the phone number -- confirms it's linked, but won't let me continue past Step 3.

Any tips? I'd love to play P99, but this is beyond frustrating. :-(

U don't need a p99 forum account.

Make eqemulator account.

Make login server account.

I noticed the same issue when I was helping a friend set up his account.
You can still create a loginserver account by clicking 'Create account' on the left-hand side underneath 'Account System'.

Sorry I never followed up on this. Figured it out a few mins after posting the thread. There's links on the side of the registration page that you can use instead of the buttons in the registration form. The buttons in the registration form are bugged.

Those instructions are horrible. I've had to set up accounts for my less tech savvy friends because of how badly that guide was written.

For the quick and easy method of setting up a Project 1999 account, follow these instructions....

Account Setup

1) Go to http://www.eqemulator.org/
Click [Register]

2) ** This step is the FORUM ONLY. Don't pick the same forum & account name! **
Fill out all the info, click [Complete Registration]

3) Go to your email, click the registration link

4) Once you are logged into the eqemulator forum, go to...

5) Create a name & password for your account, click [Continue]

You now have a Project 1999 account
