That is a very singular situation in all this. It doesn't only apply to customers. It also applies to employers and employees. There are other situations, don't sell yourself short.

Why not make all buisnesses federal if we're making them follow federal laws about what they can or cannot ask their potential employees?

Going by the "Businesses can do anything they want" mantra, what's stopping them

Could even refuse service to Jewish people unless they wear a yellow star
