I read that series a while ago, JenJen. It was good at the beginning but it got worse imo towards the end.

Originally S.King was just going to end it before writing the final conclusion but his fans insisted that he finish the book.

The ending didn't do it justice imo. It was a good series but I encourage you to find another series.

I jumped into The Chronicles of the Black Company, and while that got kind of strange, I enjoyed it immensely more-so than The Dark Tower series.

It was a good series, I agree.

Actually, kind of on the same topic, I drove past Stephen king house two weeks ago (in Bangor, ME). Since he actually uses his home and himself in his book I thought I'd mention this.

He's a huge community activist in his city and he loves Maine. Here's my picture I took. Imagine Roland in/around this area.

His house

Loved em. While in the military back in the 80's joined the Stephen King book club and read about everything he did under Stephen King and his Pen name Peter Strauss. Dark Towers were great!

I read up to the 5th book

Friends told me the series got worse, so I never did finish it.

I will say that the 4th book (Wizard and Glass?) was one of the best that I've ever read. Loved that one.

The fifth one just seemed so different. It never managed to hook me
