Men shouldn’t watch cartoons

Hope this helps
I must digress, some of the best movies I have seen have been animated.

No other medium can capture the magnificence of Le Planete Sauvage: https://youtu.be/ZkIAkDsiUoo for example.

Or even short stories, like Skywhales can not be made on regular film, and only animation can do that: https://youtu.be/qQ6qw1nh0tA

So sorry, I actually believe the contrary, adults need to watch more animated films, including Anime.

If you think they are for kids I personally believe you are limiting your experience of what the world can offer.

There is a HUGE Leap between classical or serious Anime Movies and Cheap Hentai and Tentacle Porn alongside Mechas with Dildo Swords [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

To further prove my point, one of my favorite "Art" pieces by William Gibson himself: "Agrippa" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agripp...k_of_the_Dead)) Why? Because I personally believe the medium of Cinema itself NEEDS to further evolve into the realm of the Virtual/Digital, and animation is a rough step into it, and the concept of it being relegated to children is, personally, wrong.

But as usual, I respect your opinion, and this not an attack, but mostly stating a personal opinion, fact is, I believe Animated Media/Movie content has been laxing lately, but I attribute that to several other factors.

Much love from the Isthmus [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

The Japanese obviously put sweat and tears into their animations.

I admire anyone who has passion like that.

But holy shit, I have never met an anime that wasn't batshit crazy with the story.

Can they try to be normal?

I have had a bad experience with a lot of anime fans, but my sample size is pretty small.

Not exactly anime, but perhaps some otaku here can correct me, but I found the AGGRETSUKO mini series quite "normal" in its theme and issues, for a Sanrio animation it is indeed quite good, because it deals with typical work related issues in Japanese culture, very tame and normal despite the funny theme of a red panda being a death metal fan [You must be logged in to view images. I was forced to watch it due to my work, but I found it enjoyable and a bit naive, so yeah, normal stuff does come Japan[You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
