2 seconds on google and you can see every mainstream news outlet except fox trying their hardest to spin these protest to be trump's fault. which is easy to do because they're protesting his stance on the pipeline. the thing is, the only reason the situation was allowed to get this far in the first place is obama + their own tribal leaders. in the case of the concussion grenade arm girl, you can also lay blame on that place's local law enforcement. note the timing of obama's veto, he wasn't going to veto if hillary won and hillary's private stance was quite clearly pro-pipeline evidenced by the emails i linked earlier. not to mention all the holes that have been poked in the environmentalism angle obama's taking. it was a calculated political move to force Trump into inheriting a publicly unpopular wedge issue.

another big lie the standing rock sioux & social media is spreading is that the government never tried working with the tribe, when in reality they were given a fuck load of chances to voice their concerns about their water supply, propose reroutes etc and didn't even bother showing up to the meetings.

no sympathy except for the actual protestors who were knowingly put at risk through the negligence of their own tribal leaders due to their own incompetence. their leaders failed them.
