That's the crux of the problem, isn't it. We can all agree that our footprint is changing the climate, but how important is that to us and our agendas?

We can still club seals and hunt polar bears. No need to get all radical.

I think whatever we do, we should at least try to spill as much oil and burn as many forests we can in the process.

Things we know:

1. Pollution is bad.
2. Diversity is good.
3. Earth has been here for about 4,500,000,000 years.
4. Tangible climate data has been here for about 200 years.
5. Climate priests have been unable to accurately model climate change.

Should we dump toxic waste in rivers? No
Should we dump raw sewage into the ocean? No.
Should we transfer trillions of dollars of wealth to third world countries so they can pollute and destroy threatened habitats anyway? No.
Do people contribute to climate change? Still dunno.

Allow me to educate you: they do, and it's the consensus of modern science.

Understatement hehe. Remember Al's fun little trip to witness first hand polar bears drowning in a sea for melted ice? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T3aBRDKZASc
Accurate model? They cant even plot a safe course through their sheer absurdity and not get sunk. All hands abandon ship!

Since someone else called that out I'll make a quick comment. I mean it is good, apparently, but I'm sure you would agree that though something may be good doesn't necessarily mean that it cant be exploited and used for bad; predominantly by bad people that hijack good things which happens far too often. Not speaking of the diversity movement in general, I'm sure, just the diversity in regards to energy production to fit the topic.

And it is abused far too often for political and monetary gain. In fact I would say to the degree of having the reverse effect desired. To that end the result of causing even more pollution rather than less. To deny energy production that would benefit the populous of the world and not leave most in the dark. This while such people make money hand over fist in the name of "green energy".

Thank you Lune. How foolish of me to question.
