Default A beginners guide to Plane of Sky

Plane of Sky for the first timer can seem confusing, and at time challenging. Once you begin farming 41% haste belts however, you will see that even though old, it is still a very rewarding and worthwhile zone to raid in.

Noble Djorn is a very easy to kill mob, and he drops some quest pieces that only he, or the overseer on island 4 will drop. Because of this, he is sometimes hotly contested. This video demonstrates the proper way to slay him (note that this was taken in 2010):

<object width="560" height="315"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/wjWm_EEsnhs?version=3&amp;hl=en_US&amp;rel=0"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/wjWm_EEsnhs?version=3&amp;hl=en_US&amp;rel=0" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="560" height="315" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object>

Your next challenge isn't going to really occur before the Spiroc Lord. He used to be a difficult mob that when first slain involved DA tanking, and many many pets. Since Kunark he has become quite a bit easier, but in the event you find any difficulties in slaying him, please refer to the following tutorial(for those of you who followed the link to youtube, note that "steverg1" is a giant faggot):

<object width="420" height="315"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/UBGpOlbaRVY?hl=en_US&amp;version=3&amp;rel=0"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/UBGpOlbaRVY?hl=en_US&amp;version=3&amp;rel=0" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="420" height="315" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object>

Next comes Island 6. The only mobs on this island are the 3 bees.

There are numerous guides out there on the best order in which to kill these bees, as the last one spawns a nasty Deathtouching bee that has an AE similar to Draco's in fear. I'll simply leave you with this:

<object width="420" height="315"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/-7C341PE3lQ?version=3&amp;hl=en_US&amp;rel=0"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/-7C341PE3lQ?version=3&amp;hl=en_US&amp;rel=0" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="420" height="315" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object>

So, grats. You think you're a big shot now huh? You've done the birds and bees, and now you've made it all the way up to island 7. You've cleared drakes, and you've got your eyes set solely on the eye and hand of Veeshan. But wait! Don't forget to maximize your Sister farming, so that you can stock up on all of those uber quest pieces. A good number to shoot for is 6+, however ~10 is ideal:

<object width="420" height="315"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/PMuUJoVwYHc?version=3&amp;hl=en_US&amp;rel=0"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/PMuUJoVwYHc?version=3&amp;hl=en_US&amp;rel=0" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="420" height="315" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object>

So you've finally done it. You've slain the noble, the spiroc lord, the bees, and many Sisters. The only thing left to do is to pull down eye/hand and kill them and collect your loot. Not so fast! Without a proper setup eye will wipe your entire raid. The following video shows you what can happen when an encounter with the mighty eye of Veeshan goes sour.

<object width="420" height="315"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/n4eDo3Z3aLw?hl=en_US&amp;version=3&amp;rel=0"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/n4eDo3Z3aLw?hl=en_US&amp;version=3&amp;rel=0" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="420" height="315" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object>

Who will be FE's hero?

I apologize for lack of clarification on the final video, I did not realize it was so long. The fight to be referenced begins around ~10:30.

Bump.

After reviewing the raid listed posted by Zeelot elsewhere on these forums, I think it is of particular importance that FE begins to branch elsewhere into sky. It will take a big chunk of prime targets away from your opponents, as well as provide your guild with the haste necessary to zerg targets down. Sky, and kunark dragons are where you need to begin getting your feet wet, I will give you some Kunark dragon killing tutorials later tonight, but remember: when it comes to Kunark dragons, you need 2 things.. Wizards, and MR.

A+ Guide, bro!
However, I always preferred this guide: http://mysite.verizon.net/drexxell/eq/planeofsky.html

Check the second paragraph.

Yup. FE clearing sky 3 times a day to deny TMO access to mobs that drop loot most of them don't need sure is a good idea. You sir are a raid tactician the likes this server has never seen.
