First person is more immersive. It's as simple as that. So that is my default mode. However, there are times and situations where you need to see all around you. I degrade to third person at those times.

First person when I play melee, Third when I play casters...

If I play a tank however I do use 3rd a lot so I can see my surroundings more and know whats all in the camp. And as a caster Ill switch to 1st when swimming or running thru tight quarters.

But mostly 3rd

On live when I played a rogue it was almost entirely first person. On P99 as a shaman I play almost entirely in third (scroll out with mouse wheel). I zoom in to first person to click stuff usually, or when running through an area with enclosed walls/low ceilings.

First person 100% of the time. I can't even imagine playing EQ in 3rd person.

While playing a caster, always 1st person unless I need to look around a corner or look around. While playing a melee, I find myself playing in 3rd person behind the back unless in a closed in space.

I play in 3rd person all the time, only switching on specific situations like when I’m in small rooms.

I feel this view gives me a better look of my surroundings most of the time. In 1st person view you can’t even see who’s sitting right next to you.

However, having played in 1st person view the whole time back in the day, I reckon this is the most immersive playing style.

Is there a way to turn off inspect when you hit the right click button? When I'm in third person, I always hit myself when I try to right click the mob to get a con reading. It opens up my inventory, which is annoying.
