The sheriffs department flying around in helicopters shooting people up that are trying to cross county lines when we lock down travel between county lines is a big threat I think to surviving the apocalypse.. being able to avoid their night vision human hog hunts flying around shooting anyone who’s trying to live in the woods is a really important element to surviving the final stages of what’s happening in America in the world right now .

Just carry one of those space blankets around with you. They fold up super small and are just as effective while being much more portable than glass or cardboard:

The problem with just one thermal blanket is u get one dark square or splotch.

Cardboard can be cluttered and randomized and stuff. So it's not obvious ur the one lump in the field. It's also everywhere especially now that Amazon is the supply chain.

mylar fabric is only gonna block your IR signature until it itself warms up, which is like 10-15 min, and if the weather is really cold out, the mylar won't do a damn thing. 50 degree items show like bright red sore thumbs against a 20 degree background on IR imaging.

the win against IR is much the same the win against visual sensory perception, your heat signature must blend into the surroundings like your visual signature.

Ideally if you can you put terrain features between yourself and any viewer, if you only have seconds or minutes, roll in the mud or dump your water on yourself.
