Default Glitching

So having an issue. My character is running around, nothing crazy, no mobs coming at me or spells being casted. Very basic run and I glitch and the screen pauses for 5-10 secs. Every once in a while, not a big deal. But this happens often enough to mess with my game experience.
Tried everything from clip plane, to spells off, windowed size, full screen etc. my comp and screen are above avg equipment.
Very confused if anyone has ideas.
Thanks in advance

By glitch do you mean stutter? Or the screen just pauses for several seconds?
Can you verify that all background processes are idle when this happens?

Do you have a log file turned on, check to see if it's filesize is over 100mb

Which OS are you using?

More of a pause. Lets say im pulling a mob, then i turn around to face it. As I am turning around it pauses for 2-3 seconds and the mob is already in my face hitting me. But it also happens just running around...
Nothing major going on in background, just the normal functions.
Ill have to check to see if anything is over 100.

As Baler said it's usually related to waiting for disk activity. Lots of people report improvements moving their install to an SSD or NVME drive. Failing that, disabling logging (/log off) or server-side filtering like disabling others' hits, misses, etc (anything that reduces what the client is trying to write to the log can help.

Personally, my logfiles are several hundred MB and I've never experienced these issues. However, I have an NVME drive and I've always disabled all misses, others' hits etc as I don't find that information useful and I'm of the old-school one chatbox variety so I don't care for the battle spam.
