Default Preserved Chodaki Vocal Cords - Improper mechanic

Ok. I started here 4 years ago. I was grossly disappointed with being unable to box, because there was nothing i loved more than talking to myself. Finally the Vocal cords have been released, and they don't work (at least not the way their supposed to).

Your only supposed to be able to talk through your pet when your pet is TARGETED. However I am talking through my pet regardless of what I have targeted.

Very disappointed, I would have to keep removing charm and re-casting it if i wanted to engage in humor with people by having a conversation with my pet, or charmed NPC. Very very sad.

This is the only relevant paragraph to developers. If you crowd your bug report with unnecessary information, it will often get overlooked.

You should also link classic evidence so we can have everything documented in one place.

A post from 2002 confirms your pet should only talk if it was targeted.

OP seems to be correct. Out of era post does bring up some possible limitation to it working zone wide.

Contrary to the spell description, the effect seems to work at much more than 100 range. However, it requires you to target your pet and the pet must be in line of sight.

(BTW, for those who don't know, doors usually don't block line of sight but walls usually do)

While the spell lasts, everything you say in /say while targeting your pet will come out as if your pet said it. But if you target yourself (or anything else other than your pet), /say will work normally.
