I agree that state execution is bad. I am against the death penalty because I don't want an innocent person to ever be executed, so I have to be against it in principal. However, almost the entirety of state executions are carried out against people who are absolutely definitely guilty, often by their own admission.
This raises an interesting moral and philosophical question: would you rather a guilty murderer be subjected to a lifetime of prison, and all the misery and rapes which that entails, or be executed? | ||
