Exclamation Crash after Server Screen

After playing Everquest successfully for about a week, it stopped working. Here is what I'm running into: I enter my username/password on the main screen, then I arrive at the server select screen, I select my 1999 classic server and press play. Then as it loads I hear the standard EQ log in music and then the screen goes black and this message appears: "eqgame.ext has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." At this point the only option that is available is to press the close button in this error box.

I have used the affinity program for the dual core and it still gives the same error.

I have a good running machine that runs all other games flawless.

I appreciate any help on this matter, Thanks.

Did you recently change your screen resolution? I get that message on certain resolutions (full screen). I changed to windowed mode and found a good resolution and it works fine now.

Yes I must of changed the settings because now I can get to the character select screen, however I am experiencing another issue now...I posted a new thread on it.

Thanks for your help!
