What's with the link to "P99 Donate" in your signature?

Is the project running out of funds? What does it cost to host these servers? How much money has been donated so far? What will future donations be used for?

If you're going to respond, please be as transparent as possible. I've read the explanation on the Donations page, and as someone technical, I struggle to understand why I would donate.

P.S. If someone started a campaign to raise funds for YouTube ads to promote P99 and attract new players, I would likely help.

A LOT. Probably millions. That Donate button has been around for like 12 years now, and according to what I hear in guild and group chat, nearly everyone here has tons of money and leisure time. I donate and I hope everyone else donates too!

My greatest hope is that money is being used to buy cocaine and hookers in Miami while speeding around in a $600/day luxury rental. I mean yeah the P99 servers need some juice, but c'mon we all know with cloud hosting it's like pennies a day.

All I want is for some guy to be going oh man snorting coke off these tits is the best, hold the wheel someone, while the p99 servers keep running.
