"Enter" key not working in game

Hi all,

When I attempt to play EQ on my laptop the "Enter" key does not work. The Enter key works for everything else in EQ (e.g. after entering password, using Enter at character select to enter the world, etc), however, once I am in game nothing happens when I click enter in chat windows.

I have tried:

Uninstalling keyboard driver
Reinstalling EQ
Verified my keyboard is US - QWERTY


Any other suggestions are greatly appreciated

Maybe take a look at the key bindings and make sure it's set?

You're using the big main Enter key and not the numpad enter key yeah? Don't know if it's just me but sometimes the numpad enter doesn't work correctly.

Thank you for your responses, Bev and Ty.

For whatever, this laptop has the "Enter" key mapped to Numpad Enter. When I try to use SharpKey to remap it, nothing happens.

So my question is: How do I make Everquest accept the Numpad Enter key?
