My kids trampoline got trashed, my loft window was leaking water onto my telly. Least my fence didnt get obliterated. Those winds were crazy, me and the kid were at IKEA when it kicked off. Couldnt see the car park from the door (12 feet away)

I’m glad you mentioned fences. While I was out of the UK i was letting out my terrace and twice the fence came down and was fixed professionally for no cheap fee. The last time it came down I was living not so far away and I righted it myself. Since then it has stayed put.

My biggest worry was waking up to find the panels scattered through the neighbourhood, but apparently i did a better job than the cowboys.

I have learnt the sealing around the master room’s window is perishing and A LOT of water somehow blew in.

Another UK weekend, another storm has dumped a load of rain on already saturated ground leading to flooding almost everywhere. Driving is not much fun as councils seem to have given up maintaining drainage leading to major arterial routes resembling Innothule Swamp.

The Trent is pouring over it’s embakments filling flood plains and onto the raised footpaths. Some of the lower laying drains in the city are suffering backflow and spouting jets of water from their covers. One more storm and I’m sure the city will be underwater. I’m moving what I can to the first floor.

Karana, why have you forsaken me!?

Is it because I have neglected my ranger on Blue?
