Default EQOA

I had no idea EQOA was set before EQ. Does anyone have any cool stories from this game? I'd love to explore this world.

EQOA - 100? 1000? before EQ1
Eq2 -100? 1000? After EQ1

Neither game interested me much, i played no eqoa and very little eq2.
But knowing I can explore Norrath at different time periods is intriguing.

Ya looking at the ui and stuff, I could never play it. But man it would be awesome to see all the differences & similarities of the world.

I played EQOA for ~ 5 yrs, was a great game and the controls were great too considering it was played on the ps2!!! iirc it was set for ~500 yrs before EQ and the underfoot expansion that hit EQ was originally planned for release in EQOA.

A lot of internal SoE drama was happening during Underfoots development and they decided to shitcan the EQOA servers (after seeing EQOA's growth die down (They expected too much at this time period in terms of revenue per game/department).) So to try and save some face they kept EQOA on and tried to push EQOA players onto EQ2 because they knew they would be transitioning EQII to F2P model damn near the same time they could kill the EQOA servers. I personally dual box'd EQOA with great fun back in the day [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
