Default Serious framerate drop in WL and EJ?

Any way to fix this? I seem to get way less FPS in any of these zones that have a ton of trees in them.

First thing I would try is turning the draw distance (clip plane? Iirc) down

My fix was making sure I was running in compatibility mode for Windows XP Service Pack 2 or 3

You know which zone is bad for me? North Karana. Must be the mist or something...
