Default Any Rogues have Nightfall? If so, can you fear kite with it?

Nightfall

Just curious. I'll probably never get the damn thing but I want to live vicariously through you if it's possible. Fear kiting on a Rogue sounds fun as hell.

Well...as long as BS lands it sounds fun.

https://wiki.project1999.com/Serrated_Bone_Dirk
very easily obtainable and still a 40% snare.

Weird, I guess I forgot that had a snare proc on it.

Can you fear kite with that?

yes, can fear kite with nightfall. ever since they patched it so fear/intimidate monsters run fast its quite annoying. obviously if you have a nightfall, this is way better then using a SBD sheer ratio wise. Only issue I see would be trying to proc it then get a success intimidate(unless your duoing with a fearer).

Locustlure is a good cheap option too, its a slow however, 20% or something iirc.

Back in classic Live, I fear kited with Serrated Bone Dirks on my Rogue. I tried it on here years back, but it wasn't as effective as I remembered.

You can.. but you don't have a reliable fear (or snare) and anyone that can fear, barring enchanters and clerics, can snare.

Nightfall is still an amazing utility weapon and it's my favorite of the many I have. It's the best mainhand push weapon we get, so use it to break nukes, gates, and CHes. It's also good rogue etiquette to carry a snare weapon and this one's ratio is solid enough you can wait on a proc and not worry about your damage. And nightfall in mainhand is scary agro without evades if you ever need to tank. Great weapon. Every VP rogue should get one.

For a Rogue that doesn't raid VP, there is the droppable Obtenebrate Short Sword. It procs the same snare as Nightfall but it's 11/24 and 1HS.

That thing is way overpriced and bad ratio. SBD (engulfing darkness) or Marlek's Glaive (snare) will work just as well. There's no middle ground. It's either bad damage and snare or good damage and snare.
