To assume humanity can build anything to last for eons is just a ridiculous amount of hubris.

It doesn't need to build anything. It's literally in an open hole deep underground. Like deeper than we will ever need to care. We can drill like 5 miles sideways probably at a depth of over a mile.

That assumes stability in the Earth that has only existed during the holocene. Check out some Randal Carlson.

So he actually addressed that. That place in Africa the nuclear stuff only moved 30 ft or meters or something and stayed safely underground. Nbd. No horrible water table contamination even tho some water did work itself down in the there.

I actually read a cool article in natgeo or something and or watched something on PBS about it once. It's a really frickin neato place. The natural reactor. In Africa. Highly recommend digging deeper. No pun intended!

we need nuke waste all over the planet, so when dogs evolve to rule after weve killed ourselves, they will have evolved to live in a universe of radiation, so they can finally go off into space.

Another interesting theory for the lies of alien satan is: that humans WONT all die of radiation poisoning if we follow them off into the empty vast universe. Another thing god told his first creation, that satan ignores (and sounds like alex jones when he rants about the lies)

So like. I'm not saying Randall Carlson is wrong. When stuff happens on that scale and scrapes away a mile deep of a continent the stuff will just be reburried its not going to be a problem on those scales and most places will be fine for millions of years. Which by then there won't be a radiation hazard anymore. So if we are looking at the kinda cataclysmic stuff Randall talks about. The nuke stuff isn't going to be a problem.

We'll probably want to use that energy to make rocket fuel. So like he says we need to colonize.

Lots of assumptions. Lots of hubris. Lots of traps being left based on assumptions.

Why not just go organic? A low-energy lifestyle has been sustainable for thousands of years. Only in the last 150 years have we increased our energy. I'm not saying to get rid of all electricity and revert to barbarism, but rather, there doesn't need to be electricity and a car in every single home. Communal resources.

Of course, we won't make it as far as self sacrifice. Not in this generation of humans anyways.
