Default Have you ever lost a girlfriend because of your addiction to EverQuest?

Can I be the first to comment “they have to actually have a girlfriend to lose one”?

But in regards to the question, no. Although I can somewhat understand how it might happen. And it’s not about a video game being better than relationships, more of an attack on the girl. A lot of people get in relationships and then completely let themselves go, getting fat as F. Then they bitch that their significant other would rather play video games than take them out on dates or sleep with them. Of course this often happens at the same time with the guy, so he’s no saint either

You have a responsibility to continue looking as good as you can for your partner. Fuck that up and don’t be surprised when they want to game all day or cheat on you

I had a chance at an easy lay that I passed up once for a pop raid. Girlfriend? Naw. F that.

Plus I'm no lesbian. In fact most other women are irritating. 🧜*💅 especially the trans ones. There's like two I like and don't want to live with them or have intimate relationships.

I'd rather have Chortles as like a super bro platonic roommate. For example. Than have a girlfriend.

I know a fair number of folks who spend a lot of time on P99 due to divorce/etc but don't know any who separated specifically due to time spent on EQ. Usually it's the other way 'round, time online goes up as an escape from RL issues. Countering the above, one buddy did meet and get married to a woman he met on P1999.

In the original game there were plenty of stories of couples breaking up/divorcing/etc due to EQ, perhaps not any moreso than on P99 per capita but it was a much larger community.
