There should be a topic about prebuff Velious gear.

But I think the current stance of Nilbog is that they will not be going in and recreating the alpha 1.0 stats of each piece of gear. Likely just going to the current stats unless it was something that was changed out of era (like some of the AoW loots like BoC or the Barbarian Mask).

Someone is free to correct me if I'm wrong.

It would be tough for them to stick to the timeline for the upgraded items because it happened over several patches and it wasn't spelled out in patch notes which items were getting upgraded during which patch.

Hundreds more. Almost all of the Kael and Skyshrine quest armor got boosted a few months in to Velious. PoG/Thurgadin quest armor was missing certain races, e.g. barbarian on rogue stuff and iksar on warrior stuff. ToV/Kael uber loots got huge stat boosts halfway through Velious. 2-handers got a second upgrade at the end of Velious in the 2-hand improvement patch.

posts on ZAM early on show how people were frustrated with it being non magical weapon as well, so im not crazy after all. 2001 the ratio changed from 36/40 to 40/40 but it was a non magical weapon from 2001 till they flagged it magical in 2003.
