Lynching only has one meaning in the US. He didn't poorly select his words. He's an imbecile and thinks he's being persecuted and thought the racists would get a kick out of him using that wording.

He’s not being persecuted. He’s being prosecuted. There’s a difference, namely the act of withholding aid to Ukraine based on a personal vendetta against an opposing political candidate. We aren’t Hungary; a nascent democracy backsliding because of an ass hole populist. We are the nation that ended Communism, the nazis, ISIS, and have done more to eradicate disease, global poverty, and other melanic bull shit shit than any other country in human history. He might actually be that dumb though. He might not understand the racial overtones. I honestly don’t know. I think it’s more in line with his “witch hunt” type of thinking than outright racism. He thinks he’s a god and if anyone pushes back against him their criticism is illegitimate. This is why I voted republican for so long, because if you tell poor people to raise their sons and stop selling drugs, they cry “you’re mean.” It’s very weird for me that republicans became this way. I’m contemplating a run as a third party candidate on a platform of killing anyone who complains or frowns in public
