Gamma increases on PC when playing and does not go away
When I played previously the gamma would go up on the PC to match the games settings but when I shut the game down it would revert back to normal. Now it just stays like that until I reboot.
Any fix for this? | ||

Are you exiting out via camping or /q'ing?

Were you previously running something like f.lux that would have automatically adjusted the gamma back? Windows won't automatically do that for you.
It could also depend on display drivers or GPU type.

I had the same issue. Previously everything would be washed out and bright while P99 was running, but would return to normal after exiting the game. The last time I ran the green beta and quit the gamma stayed cranked up.
I don't have any other special software running that would affect the gamma. (Win10, 1080ti, latest Nvidia drivers...)

EQ Emulator has always caused this on my end, unfortunately. And that's in excess of 10 years and 5 different PC builds all with the same result.
Intel+Nvidia Intel+AMD AMD+Nvidia AMD+AMD....all configurations same problem.

The funny thing is, that was classic for at least a period of time. I played some other games around the time and they sometimes didn't have gamma adjustment, so I'd change it EQ, Ctr+alt+del, kill eq, and load up the other game.

This happens to me, but it's because of wineq. When I exit that instead of leaving it just hiding at an icon on my taskbar, screen color is normal.

Using WinEQ fixes this. There is an option to lock gamma.
